I really liked this book and it started up shortly from where #3 left off. I also liked the fact that some of the characters from the earlier books showed up again. Of course it was in the last couple of chapters before the end. But it's still nice to revisit them.I'd like to say I didn't have as much trouble identifying with Partlan or Grace as some of the other reviewers apparently had. The situations they encountered seemed entirely plausible within the context of the world Ms. Clement has set up. The sentence structures and grammar aren't as atrocious or simplistic in this book as they were in the last one either, but it still needs work. All in all this is a good book to read and I can't wait for the next one in the series.

An amazing book of hunters helping us find true justice when our laws do not work. You will love this entire series
I really enjoyed the first book in the series; the next 2 in this 5 book series were very enjoyable. After the 3rd one, the author added what I considered a very weird twist to the story SPOILER - by adding in another covert group of aliens out for world domination. The strong heros & strong females by & large remained interesting - although the heroine in the 5th book in the series I feel was really TSTL. My biggest complaint in general is even when ALL events point towards a group of Bad Guys trying to kill/kidnap the H&h, in every book, she fights the knowledge & protection the H offers. Even when the women have police/military training - they lose their training; ability to work as a team & constantly make poor decisions. It gets aggravating. The Heroes in the last 2 books also seemed like flatter characters - they didn't want to love -whoops they're in love. I'm not sure I'm going to keep reading the series if more come out.
Excellent series.... only wish that they came out quicker! strong characters, passionate, intriguing and thoroughly sexy. Put in a bit of adventure and you have the makings of an excellent story. Well done.
I enjoy this series very much and was happy to find this installment. Filled with danger, excitement, as well as love, a new threat, and a lost Hunter this story has a lot action. It's one adventure after another from beginning to end.
This one was the fourth story of this series and let me just say...WOW. The characters were fantastic and I really enjoyed the tension between the two "mates." I sincerely hope that the author continues to write stories in this series.
I still love book one and two. Book four started where three left off, which was very good. I didn't like the kidnapping of the main characters. The author does a really good job in explaining our government law enforcement big short falls. I hope book five is like book one and two.
The action and turns in this book keep you reading that is for sure. A HEA achieved but at a cost and a set-up for the next books laid out. I personally didn't like the new aliens but if handled well, should be interesting. This story would draw readers into law enforcement agencies but be prepared to know what you truly stand for.
Even though they can be stand alone books, they are a series and I strongly recommend reading them as such AND in order!
